As implementation continues for the New Energy Vehicle Industry Development Plan (2021–2035) (General Office of the State Council [2020] No. 39), issued by the General Office of the State Council, demonstrating confidence and determination in the development of new energy vehicles, local governments across China have successively issued detailed plans for electric vehicle charging infrastructure.

DB31/T 1296-2021, Technical Requirements for Smart Charging and Interactive Response of Smart Electric Vehicle Charging Points, was first issued by the Shanghai Municipal Administration for Market Regulation on March 16, 2021, and took effect on August 1, 2021.

On September 5, 2022, the third ‘Charging Points Power the World’ China Charging Facilities and Supporting Products Awards Ceremony was successfully held in Nanjing. At the awards dinner, Mega-Senway was named one of the ‘Top Ten Core Component Brands in China’s Charging Facility Industry for 2022’ in recognition of its outstanding performance in technology R&D, independent product innovation, brand influence, and mature project experience. Mega-Senway’s receipt of this award for another consecutive year demonstrates the industry’s recognition of its R&D capabilities and potential for innovative growth in Type B residual current technology.

The 2019 AWC New Energy Vehicle Three-Electric-Systems Development and Design Conference was held at the Shanghai World Expo Exhibition and Convention Center on April 25–26, 2019. Mega-Phase was invited to participate, joining numerous experts and more than 700 professional attendees from the new energy vehicle field.

In midsummer July, crickets chirp and the evening breeze is calm. On July 22, the Production and Quality Department of Mega-Senway Electronic Technology Ltd., Shanghai began a new journey with an unveiling ceremony at Unit 8, Building 3, Automotive Innovation Port, Lane 56, Antuo Road, Anting Town, Jiading District, Shanghai. The new environment and equipment brought a renewed outlook. Since 2019, the entire team has remained resilient through many challenges. With a new posture and high morale, it is once again setting sail for the future.

More than a decade ago, when I first entered the low-voltage electrical field, the term ‘leakage-current protector’ puzzled me for a long time. Experienced engineers told me that the device was called a ‘leakage-current protector.’ Yet when I consulted its corresponding Chinese national standard, GB 16917.1-2003 (this edition has since been withdrawn and replaced by an updated edition), it was no longer called a ‘leakage-current protector.’ Instead, it had the more technical name ‘residual current circuit breaker.’ The corresponding English term in International Electrotechnical Commission standard IEC 61009.1-2010 (this edition has likewise since been replaced by an updated edition) is Residual Current operated Circuit Breaker. I later discovered that a similar product is called a Ground-Fault Circuit-Interrupter under the North American standard UL 943, which translates as ‘ground-fault circuit breaker.’
