The Eighth China International Electric Vehicle Charging and Battery Swapping Industry Conference 2022, also known as the Golden Brick Charging and Battery Swapping Forum, was successfully held at the Shangri-La Hotel in Changzhou on September 27–28, 2022. 
    Featuring a forum summit and exhibition under the theme ‘Innovation and Collaboration as Drivers of Low-Carbon, Efficient Development,’ the conference used focused topics to stimulate discussion and advocate and guide development strategies for charging, battery-swapping, and electric vehicle companies. It increased industry attention on charging and battery swapping, examined current development challenges, and identified opportunities and directions for growth.

    The two-day conference brought together more than 120 authoritative experts, academicians, professors, technical engineers, and industry leaders from China’s charging and battery-swapping sector. Participants shared insights on production, operations, and platforms, covering charging and battery-swapping operations; battery swapping for heavy-duty trucks; orderly charging technology; V2G technology; high-power charging; fast-charging technology development; applications of energy-storage charging points; liquid-cooling technology applications; module technology development; plug-and-charge; charging-point standards, testing, certification, and design; finance; leasing; services; next-generation charging technology; integrated photovoltaic, energy-storage, and charging systems; and the impact of smart-grid development on charging networks. They explored opportunities and challenges in the development of charging and battery swapping, assessed the industry’s prospects, presented leading technologies, and shared opportunities for industry growth.

    As new energy vehicle penetration continues to rise, the charging-point industry has entered a period of further development and expansion. To better serve the national market, the China Charging Point Network organized the 2022 China Electric Vehicle Charging and Battery Swapping Procurement Festival in Changzhou on September 27–28. The festival invited 80 charging-point manufacturers and operators, as well as battery-swapping station manufacturers and operators, to exhibit. It was another major branded event introduced by the organizer.

After five months, winners were selected across 12 award categories.
